Alpine EMS - West Texas Ambulance Service provides 9-1-1 Emergency Medical Services for the City of Alpine and Northern Brewster County. We operate 2 fulltime Texas Department of State Health Services licensed BLS with Mobile Intensive Care Unit equipped ambulances. The ambulances are equipped with modern up to date EMS equipment including Physio Control Life Pak 12 ECG Monitor/Defibrillator/Pacemaker units with 3 lead and 12 lead capabilities, SaO2 Oxygen Saturation Pulse Oximetry, NIBP (Non-Invasive Blood Pressure), AED (Automated External Defibrillator). We carry a variety of EMS Medications for various medical emergencies and intravenous (I.V.) solutions. We have a full selection of EMS kits and supplies for our Infant to Adult patients. We also utilize Stryker heavy duty stretchers to move our patients. The list is endless.
We also provide transport services from Big Bend Regional Medical Center to the Alpine
Casparis Municipal Airport for Native Air fixed wing air transfers. We are a contracted Preferred Provider for Native Air. Are teams work closely together to provide a smooth transport from the hospital to the awaiting aircraft.
In addition we provide Special Events Standby services for Alpine Jr. High and High School football games, Sul Ross State University football games, SRSU NIRA Rodeo,
Big Bend Ranch Rodeo, Women's Ranch Rodeo Association and Youth Rodeos
